Denpasar is where six hundred thousand people live and where almost no visitor eats. It has no beach, no rice terrace and no sunset bar, which is precisely why the food is priced for locals rather than for you.
The trade is honest: less design, no sea view, and a menu that is not in three languages. In exchange, the same money buys roughly three times the meal it buys in Seminyak.
Go for lunch. Most of the best places here are daytime operations, and the traffic out is worse than the traffic in.
