It is also concentrated to a degree the rest of the guide never is. Nineteen of the fifty-eight are in Canggu and twelve more are in Tibubeneng immediately north of it, so thirty-one of them — more than half — sit inside one strip you could drive end to end in a quarter of an hour. Seminyak adds five, Petitenget four, Uluwatu four. Ubud, which has 24 entries in the cheap list further down this site, has two.
The split between what they are is more even than you would guess: thirty-two restaurants against twenty-three bars, and three cafés. Late in Bali does not only mean drinking.

Everywhere on this list is already busy — which is precisely why it can afford to stay open when nowhere else does. Late trade needs volume.
